Description
This lemonade delivers summer in every sip—naturally sweet, vibrantly fruity, and delightfully tart. Perfect for picnics, BBQs, or relaxing in the sun.
Ingredients
For the Peach Strawberry Purée:
4 ripe peaches, chopped
2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup water
For the Simple Syrup:
½ cup water
¼ cup granulated sugar
For the Lemonade:
Ice
1½ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
6 to 8 cups cold water
Fresh peach slices, strawberries, lemon wedges, and mint (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Make the Purée:
In a blender or food processor, combine the peaches, strawberries, and water. Blend until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing with a spoon to extract all the juice. Discard the pulp.
2. Make the Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and the mixture slightly thickens. Let it cool.
3. Assemble the Lemonade:
In a large pitcher, add ice, lemon juice, fruit purée, and the cooled syrup. Stir well. Add 6 to 8 cups of cold water (adjust to your desired strength) and mix again. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
4. Garnish and Serve:
Serve over ice with fresh peach slices, strawberries, lemon wedges, or mint leaves for a beautiful, flavorful finish.
Notes
I used my Vitamix to puree the fruits, and it blended everything so smoothly that very little pulp, seeds, or skin remained in the strainer. If you notice the same with your blender, don’t worry—you didn’t do anything wrong. It just means your blender did an excellent job!
